The Charleston Chapter has a very long, rich history of serving poets in Kanawha, Jackson and Putnam Counties. The Charleston Chapter actually pre-dates the West Virginia Poetry Society.
We meet on the second Saturday of every month between September and May at the Dunbar Public Library in Dunbar West Virginia. Meetings run from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and refreshments are provided by the members. Our current president is Eleanor Kawsek.
The Charleston Chapter is a supportive group that currently does not do critique. We prefer to share our work with one another and share the work of the poets we love.
